Working!! – Slice of life show of the season(?)

So I didn’t cover any of the shows this past winter cause honestly, 90% of them were crap. The only ones I found worthy enough to keep up on were Durarara!! and Full Metal Alchemist. This season there are a few shows that have interested me enough to try to keep up with, but not many that I feel like talking about.
One of the exceptions is Working!! This show has turned out to be quite a nice relaxing show to watch (especially when stressed out). I’m not saying the show is perfect, there are plenty of faults (biggest of which is the main character). But when you look at other “slice-of-life” shows this season, I find Working to be a clear standout.
Well actually, that’s not saying much, cause there really are only 2 other comparable slice-of-life shows: K-ON!! and Mayoi Neko Overrun. I stopped MNO halfway through the episode because everything about it irritated me. As for K-ON!!, if this season is the same as the last season, then it’s biggest problem is it relies more on moe cutouts rather than comedic gags. In that regard, Working!! is lot funnier and a better picker-upper than K-ON!!.
Now Working!! is no where near my favorite show of the season and it definitely isn’t a “quality” show. If you, in general, hate moe shows, you probably are already steering well clear of this. But for the rest of you, if you need a good picker-upper, Working!! should work nicely for you.
tl;dr Working!! works for me.

I’ve seen one episode so far and I agree, this is the better slice of life show of the season!

My reactions to this season’s slice of life is about the same as yours. Hmmmmm.
Working! seems to be the kind of anime that me and my sister can agree on, so I think that’s how it’s going to go. It’s more fun than watching alone.
